My child is Autistic. He has some good days and some bad days. On bad days he would act out in class. The school was always calling me. I almost lost my job because I was constantly leaving to pick up my child from school when he was acting out. After speaking with an advocate from SKS Consultation Services, I understood my rights. The advocate worked with me and the school to create a behavior plan to help my child. The plan was effective. I do not have to leave work anymore to get my child. Best decision ever!
